More than a hundred billion of populace world over has used sterilization contraception methods to stop the unwanted pregnancies. And one of the most effective methods employed for permanent birth control happens to be Essure.eption,

The Essure birth control procedure is approved by the FDA as one of its kind of contraception method which refutes all chances of pregnancies at all. Thus Essure is a permanent but irreversible method of contraception. So people who go for this method of sterilization should put in considerable thought and discussion.

Regarding the procedure used in Essure it is very different from the traditional methods of sterilization. Here is no cutting or tying up of the fallopian tubes is involved.  Instead specially trained doctors in Essure insert a spring like coil through the natural pathways of a human body like the cervix, uterus and vagina into the fallopian tubes. The spring like coils are referred to as micro inserts.

These micro inserts are designed in such a way that they favor the growth f tissues in and around the area of coils. Thus over a period of 3 months there are enough tissues in that area so that it can prevent or block sperms of men from reaching the fallopian tubes of a woman. And thus defers all possibilities of pregnant.

Unlike other methods of sterilization anesthesia is not used here. After the procedure is performed, the doctor calls the patient for a test called hysterosalpingogram. This test is done to confirm whether or not occlusion is there in the fallopian tubes of the woman. In around 96 percent of the cases occlusion occurs after the first 3 months of the making of micro inserts whereas in the rest of the cases occlusion occurs in the remaining 7 months. Also another important thing that you need to remember is that during the first three months till there is complete blockage of the fallopian tubes the patient needs to use other methods of birth control.

There is a famous proverb every industry has bad eggs. This is very true in medical fraternity as most of the medications and treatments have their own set of benefits and risks. As regards the benefits this form of birth control is the most effective. The recovery period in this method is very less thus taking very little time out of your busy life. Also most importantly, this procedure can be performed even in a clinic, you do not need to visit a hospital and stay there. As regards the risk factors associated with this sterilization contraception procedure, they are the minimal. Some of them are very common as nausea, bleeding, pain and cramps.
