Sterilization birth control measures have thus become popular among both rich and poor nations.
Presently the two most popular methods of sterilization for women are- Tubal Ligation and Essure. Tubal Ligation is also known popularly as getting your tubes tied. It is a birth control measure where the fallopian tubes of a woman are either tied, burned, cut or blocked with the help of bands, clips or rings. This procedure restricts the sperms from reaching the fallopian tube and thus stops fertilization of eggs. Also it stops the eggs from reaching to the ovary.
Medical experts believe that this procedure is 99.5 percent effective in controlling births. But you need to remember that this procedure do not protect you against any kind of sexually transmitted diseases or AIDS.
